This privacy policy explains what Truck Clinic Corp. ("Truck Clinic", "we") does with the information you send through truckclinic.com (the "Site"). The short version: the Site has no accounts, no logins, no online store and no newsletter. The only personal information it collects is what you type into a form so the shop can call you back about a truck or a job.

By using the Site you accept the practices described here. If you would rather not use the forms, call the shop instead; the number is at the bottom of this page.

    Who is collecting your information?

Truck Clinic Corp. is a commercial truck repair shop at:

565 Anderson Dr Unit B, Romeoville, IL 60446, USA

The shop is in Romeoville, IL, just off I-55, and serves fleets and owner-operators across the Chicago metro. Truck Clinic is responsible for the information covered by this policy.

The Site is built and maintained for Truck Clinic by an outside web agency. That agency runs the system that receives form submissions and passes them to the shop, and it handles them only on Truck Clinic's instructions.

What information do the quote and contact forms collect?

The Site has three kinds of forms, and each collects only what the shop needs.

    • Quote and contact forms (home page, service pages and the contact page): your name, phone number, company name and email address if you give them, the service you need, how urgent it is, your fleet size, and whatever you type in the message box, such as the truck, the fault code or the symptoms.
    • Checklist download form (the DOT pre-inspection checklist page): your email address, plus your name, company and fleet size if you give them. No phone number is required, and nothing is emailed to you automatically.
    • Job application form (the hiring page at /landing): your name, email address and phone number, so the shop can call you about the position.

With each quote or contact submission we also record the page you sent it from, which form you used, any campaign parameters that were in the address bar when you arrived, such as utm_source or a Google click ID, and, if you came from another website, that site's domain. These tell us which ad or page brought you in; they do not identify you.

Do not send payment card numbers, driver's license numbers or other sensitive identifiers through the forms. We do not ask for them and do not need them to quote a repair.

What happens to a form after you submit it?

    1. The submission is stored in a lead-tracking system run by the agency that manages the Site for Truck Clinic.
    2. A copy goes to the shop by email and by Telegram so it is seen during business hours.
    3. Someone at the shop reads it and calls or emails you about the next step, which for a repair is usually a written quote.

That is the whole path. Your details are not added to a marketing list and are not passed to any other business.

Does the Site use cookies or analytics?

The Site does not run Google Analytics, a Meta pixel or any other visitor-analytics tool, and it does not set cookies to track you from visit to visit. Two things come close, so here is exactly what they do:

    • Session storage. Campaign parameters from the address bar, and the domain of a site that referred you, may be kept in your browser's session storage until you close the tab, so a quote form still knows which ad brought you in after you have read a few pages. This is not a cookie, and it never leaves your browser unless you submit a form.
    • Google Ads tag on the hiring page. The hiring page at /landing loads Google's gtag.js so a job application that started from a Google ad can be counted. That tag can set Google cookies on that page and reports your visit to it to Google under Google's own privacy policy. It does not load on any other page of the Site.

Your browser's settings let you block or clear cookies and site data at any time. The forms work with cookies disabled.

Which outside services does the Site load?

    • Google Maps. Pages that show where the shop is, including the contact page, embed a Google map. Loading it is a request to Google, which may set cookies or collect usage data through the embed.
    • Google Ads tag. Hiring page only, as described above.
    • Email and Telegram. Used to deliver form copies to the shop.
    • Hosting. Like any web server, ours may record the IP address, requested page, time and browser type in ordinary server logs used for security and troubleshooting.

Fonts are served from truckclinic.com itself, so no font request goes to Google Fonts or any other provider. The Site also links to outside sources such as FMCSA and the EPA; those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.

Who can see what you send?

    • Truck Clinic staff who handle quotes, scheduling and hiring.
    • The agency that runs the Site and the lead-tracking system, for the purpose of delivering your submission to the shop.
    • The providers used to deliver it: the email service, Telegram and our hosting provider, which see only what they need to move the message.
    • A court or government agency, if we are legally required to hand it over.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not give it to other businesses for their marketing.

Can you ask us to correct or delete your information?

Yes. Tell us the name and phone number you used on the form and whether you want the record corrected or deleted. We will confirm what we hold and act on it. There is no fixed deletion schedule; a submission is kept for as long as the shop needs it to follow up on your request and keep its ordinary business records.

    How is your information protected?

The Site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into a form is encrypted between your browser and our server. Access to the lead tracker, the shop email and the Telegram channel is limited to the people who need it to respond to you.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so keep anything you would not put in an email out of the message box.

Does the Site collect information from children?

No. The Site is for fleet managers, owner-operators and drivers, and it is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us a form, contact us and we will delete it.

How will you know if this policy changes?

If the Site starts doing something new with your information, such as adding analytics or online scheduling, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top.

Who do you contact with a privacy question?

Questions, corrections and deletion requests go to the shop. Call (815) 887-0212 during business hours, email truckclinicinfo@gmail.com, or send the contact form and mention that it is a privacy request.
